Conduct
-
All
students shall conduct themselves in an orderly manner,
showing consideration for others. Disregard for normal
classroom conduct will be grounds for dismissal.
Credit of Achievement -
A
Certificate of Achievement will be presented to those
students who successfully complete and pass 3 five-minute
dictated test at 200 words per minute on 2-Voice testimony
as representative of the Kansas Certified Court Reporter's
Licensing Examination. A Certificate of Achievement will be
presented to those students who successfully complete and
pass 1 five-minute dictated test at 225 words per minute on
2-Voice testimony; 1 five-minute dictated test at 200 words
per minute on Jury Charge material; 1 five-minute dictated
test at 180 words per minute on Literary material one
under the same timed testing standards used by the National
Shorthand Reporters Association, RPR standards.
Credit
for Previous Training or Work Experience -
"After
evaluation, CRIKC may accept previous education or training
if the student can provide a transcript of grades from a
Federal or State approved program. Court Reporting transfer
students are placed in the speedbuilding class determined by
their ability to pass one five-minute shorthand test with
95% accuracy. Transfer of CRIKC credits is always at the
discretion of the receiving school, generally depending on
comparability or curricula and may depend on comparability
of accreditation.
