***The purchasing of Steno Machines is arranged by students with non-school vendors.

Pre-owned steno machines may be purchased or rented from fellow students or court reporters or whatever source a student may use to locate a machine.

Students may choose to rent a manual steno machine from Court Reporting Institute of Kansas City for $30.00 per month until the student has had adequate time to purchase their own steno machine.

Other supplies listed herein may be purchased through any vendor selling such supplies or from the school.

Portable CD player with headphones - Student's option on what price they want to pay for their own CD player. Cost varies on brand names.

Tuition

REGISTRATION FEE:	Theory Student Registration Speedbuilding Student Registration	$85.00 $85.00

THEORY:	149 Contact Hours - 4 months	$1,625.00 total cost
FULL TIME DAY	Tuition will be due on or before actual start date. Tuition payments will be $385.00 per month, paid each semester start. Contact hours and cost includes registration fee.

THEORY:	114 Contact Hours - 5 months	$1,660.00 total cost
FULL TIME NIGHTS Monday & Thursday	Tuition will be due on or before actual start date. Tuition payments will be $315.00 per month, paid each semester start. Contact hours and cost includes registration fee.

SPEED BUILDING:	1,611 Contact Hours - 24 months	$9,325.00 total cost
FULL TIME DAYS Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday	Tuition payments are $385.00 per month, paid each semester start. Contact hours and cost includes Theory for Court Reporting, Theory Registration Fee, a prerequisite to enter Speed Building and Speed Building Registration Fee.

SPEED BUILDING:	1,176 Contact Hours - 29 months	$9,220.00 total cost

SPEED BUILDING:	1,319 Contact Hours - 20 months	$9,625.00 total cost
FULL TIME DAY & FULL TIME NIGHTS	Tuition payments are $500.00 per month, paid monthly. Contact hours and cost includes Theory for Court Reporting, Theory Registration Fee, a prerequisite to enter Speed Building and Speed Building Registration Fee.	(based on Day Theory)

Refund Policy

THREE DAY CANCELLATION - All monies paid by a student will be refunded if requested within three (3) days after signing an Enrollment Agreement for Court Reporting Instruction and making initial payment.

OTHER CANCELLATION - A student subsequently requesting cancellation shall be entitled to a refund of all monies paid, minus a registration fee of 15% of the Enrollment Agreement for the Court Reporting Course but in no event may Court Reporting Institute of Kansas City retain more than $150.00

FIRST WEEK - For a student terminating training after entering school and starting the Court Reporting but within the first week, the tuition charges made by Court Reporting Institute of Kansas City shall not exceed 10% of the Enrollment Agreement price of the course, plus $150.00, but in no event more than $350.00.

AFTER THE FIRST WEEK - For a student terminating training after one week but within the first 25% of the Court Reporting Course, the tuition charges made by Court Reporting Institute of Kansas City shall not exceed 25% of the Enrollment Agreement price of the course plus $150.00.

AFTER 25% - For a student terminating training after completing over 25% but within 50% of the Court Reporting Course, the tuition charges made by Court Reporting Institute of Kansas City shall not exceed 50% of the Enrollment Agreement price of the course plus $150.00.

AFTER 50% - A student completing 50% of the Court Reporting Course is not entitled to a refund of any tuition.

SPECIAL CASES - In case of a student's prolonged illness or accident, death in the family, or other circumstances that make it impractical to complete the Court Reporting Course, Court Reporting Institute of Kansas City shall make a settlement which is reasonable and fair to both parties.
